DiamondTider: Make your own Ilona Kiss care crystal

‘DiamondTider’ is a paper craft template for anyone to make and use at home.

It is based on a drawing called Tider, which I made in 2017, when no one thought of ever being locked down at home due to no fault of their own but of a virus.

I found Tider with its lunar powers had become a relevant and illuminating drawing during these strange days. As the pandemic comes and goes in waves, each country is showing a slightly different pattern, just like the tides of the seas. Tider seems to try to cling on to those waves, desperate to keep control and to protect us from worse.

Tider can now be folded into a three-dimensional object – a diamond, a gem, a caring crystal with its own protective powers – by following these simple steps:

1.  Print out the template on a nice and slightly heavy paper (not too heavy, though)

2. Cut the straight lines, fold the dotted ones neatly

3. Use a Pritt Stick to glue the flaps

4. Put the gem onto the windowsill or any other strategic place in your home. Believe. Enjoy
